Things To Do At Bressingham Steam Museum
Take a trip on one of our four railways, get close-up to mighty steam engines in our locomotive shed, and ride on the magnificent and historic gallopers.
Wander through the main street of Walmington-on-Sea, home to a collection of Dad’s Army displays and vehicles, see fascinating historic railway exhibits in our museum, and enjoy the unique 17-acre Bressingham Gardens. Bressingham’s wonderful steam collection was started by entrepreneur Alan Bloom.
He opened his doors to the public more than 60 years ago to give everyone the chance to experience, enjoy and celebrate steam engineering.

Magical.Posted on Graham & Vicki ThomsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is one of my favourite places to take our children (age 3 and 5). They love the unlimited rides on the trains in the summer and also enjoyed the Christmas experience recently which was run excellently by friendly staff. Will most certainly return in 2026 with friends and family.Posted on lucy whiteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brilliant day out. We visited for the Christmas experience but would go back to see the collection again. So much to see and lots to keep us entertained. The gallopers was a highlight but we loved it all.Posted on Richard HammondTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 1st return here in 30 years since my parents last bought me here. Visited for santa (presents were great) well worth the money. Kids loved the ride on the steam train and the carousel. Didn't get to see as much as wanted as time was running out. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here though. Only downfall is i wasnt given or offered a map or guide so didn't know what else to see or where else to go. Im sure i remember from past visits egine sheds but didnt find them today. Will be exploring here again, maybe in the summer.Posted on Eddie FordTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bressingham Steam museum the happiest place on the world. The most recent visit was over the Christmas weekend, the father Christmas experience was really good, you can tell it's been really well thought through. It's a warm and cozy experience. The rest of the park has got lots to see, the museum is like going back in time. Getting to go on the steam trains in fun, they go through different places of the park so there is lots to see. The gardens are a work of art, overall the whole place you can tell is run by people who are passionate and care about the museum.Posted on keith howlettTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
